Quick answer
Choose the Forest Friends Campus fruit box 300 ml with fork if you want the lower price for a school snack container that does the same leakproof job. Pick the Fairy Garden version if the design matters more to your child and the higher price still fits your budget.
The two boxes share the same practical core
Both are 300 ml Campus fruit boxes with a fork, made by Mepal with Little Dutch artwork. The catalog describes both as leakproof and easy for children to open and close at school or while out exploring. That means your real decision is not about function; it is about which design your child will actually reach for, and whether the price difference matters to you.
Price difference is the clearest trade-off
At the time of writing, the Forest Friends box is listed at USD 5.69 and the Fairy Garden box at USD 6.93, both against a USD 9.49 comparison price. The saving on Forest Friends is real, but it is small enough that design preference can reasonably win. If you are buying two boxes for siblings, the lower price adds up; if you are buying one, choose the print your child will be happy to carry.
Design is not a minor detail for children
A school snack container only works if it comes home and gets used. Fairy Garden and Forest Friends are distinct Little Dutch themes, so let your child pick the one they recognize. Avoid buying both as a surprise set unless you know which theme each child prefers; an unused box is no saving at all.
Decision rules for choosing between Fairy Garden and Forest Friends
- If price is your first filter: Choose Forest Friends at USD 5.69 over Fairy Garden at USD 6.93. Both are 300 ml leakproof boxes with a fork, so you are not giving up function to save. Check the current listing price before ordering, since catalog prices can change.
- If your child has a strong theme preference: Choose the Little Dutch print your child names or points to. The price gap is small enough that a preferred design is worth paying for.
- If you are buying for more than one child: Match each box to each child's preferred theme rather than buying two of the cheaper box. Two Forest Friends boxes save money but may leave one child uninterested.
- If you are unsure about volume: Both boxes hold 300 ml, which suits a small fruit container for school. If your child routinely needs a larger lunch, this size may be too small; check the rest of the Campus range instead.
